Im making a recording studio in my home and starting my own Productions… Im not new to the music industry but I am to the producing one lol… So what kind of equipment do I need in order to start recording, like the basics?best kind of brand name mics? software for my computer?synthesizers???

I’m 17 years old and I record musicians in my house alot. However, my parents told me I have to pack up my stuff cause its taking up too much of the house. So I need to create my own studio…somewhere else.

I have a ford expedition, and not much equipment (i can pretty much all fit in the front and back seat, leaving the trunk completely empty.)

I had an idea that I could make some kind of outdoor tent, but some tarp on the ground, and set up my stuff to record.

however…that tent thing costs 1500 bucks. i cant afford that. so I need to think of something thats portable, protects from light wind and freak showers, and is under 250 bucks. it only needs to hold a small drum kit, a few amps, 5 people, and a laptop, and i dont need a power source. im willing to put the time into building something myself.

Any ideas welcomed! I just dont have a place to record.

Search for one of those outdoor used storage buildings. I have seen them advertised for under $100, in fact I have even seen where they will give it to you if you will come and take it away. These are the kinds of buildings that you see behind peoples houses, usually made of wood or aluminum. good luck.

I’m going to start teaching voice and piano privately and I’m wondering what is the best way to build a good student base? I already have a studio space, a curriculum and plenty of materials. How should I go about letting the community know I am teaching?

Join the local organization of certified or school music teachers. They will admit adult qualified teachers – you do not have to be a school teacher yourself. They will be a good resource for student referrals. You must demonstrate to them that you can improve their programs by them sending students to you. If there are specific competition or festivals for which they would like students prepared, beyond what they have the time and expertise to do themselves, then you can assure them that your education and own professional credentials would be suitable to do the job.

You might contact schools and see if they need accompanists for their choral programs. This would give you a chance to see and hear what is going on in their program. You CANNOT solicit in their school, but a word with the teacher might pay you back in THEIR giving your name out.

Advertising seldom works as well as direct contact with other professionals. Perhaps another voice teacher has a waiting list or overflow, and you can take on those students. In many communities, private teaching is VERY competitive, so I hope that you can demonstrate that YOU are the best qualified to teach! Good luck with your studio – I have had a private studio for 37 years, and have found it very rewarding.

i am trying to build a home recording studio and i dong know what i need. i do know i need a mixer an Audio Interfaces and a mini amp. is there anything ells i need?

I’d get a mac if you don’t have one- they work well with recording

1.Mics
2. soundproofing for the walls
3.cords to hook everything up
4.instruments-duh
5. a program like cubase or protools if you can afford it.

In 1996, Stan Meyer gave oral testimony before the court demonstrating the WFC Fuel Cell “Mode of Operability” by using the Voltage Intensifier Circuit (VIC) to produce voltage of opposite polarity to separate and disassociate the water molecule into its component gases, hydrogen & oxygen. However, the court audio sound recording equipment seemed to malfunction and was switched off. Judge Corzine said proceedings should continue without it. This was a violation of judicial protocol, since the recording system is used to verify testimony given during the trial and as such becomes “Evidence of Records.” After his oral testimony, Stan expected Attorney/Judge Hurley to start bringing forth WFC witnesses and counter arguments. Instead, Attorney/Judge Hurley spoke up, stated he had to leave for a pre-planned vacation and said that there was no more testimony to be given and waived the right of the defendant to give a case summary of the WFC facts brought before the court. Stan Meyer immediately stated he would protest and Judge Corzine ended the hearing. Stan wrote a “Request to Retract” fax-letter to the Sunday Times on 2 December 1996. He attached WFC documentation on the filing with the Disciplinary Counsel. He further stated that Judge Corzine had no right to turn off the court audio sound recording equipment, nor to rule against U.S. Patents, or overrule Government and University lab reports in the public domain concerning the mode of operability of the WFC Technology. Furthermore, Stan pointed out that no US Federal “Cease and Desist” order has ever been issued against WFC since the WFC Technology has been fully legalized under US Patent Security Law 35 USC 101 and other US Federal regulatory Acts. His final statement was that “WFC is here to stay” in contradiction to the Sunday Times statement.
