how do you make a portable recording studio onto your USB?

Posted: September 23, 2010 – 1:54 pm

plz make it step-by-step

ok
first off you need to be able to run apps off of your usb drive. Since most recording studio software is quite extensive you really wont be able to find many portable apps suites that will run them. U3 and Ceedo are good for running apps off USB’s though and you should be able to run most software off of either one, since most software companies have portable versions of their software, but as in recording studio software there’s none.. Thats why you need to get Ceedo and its sister software Argo that will allow virtualization of any software to be run off USB. . . ..

Secondly, you need to find out what software you really want to use as your portable recording studio . . The Pro Tools suite is extremely versatile and almost simulates the real thing to a T. you can get the info here http://www.digidesign.com/

Next, simply download the installer, run it, and select which removable drive you would like Ceedo to be installed on. As soon as the installer finishes, you’ll be greeted with a welcome screen, and the Easy-Access Menu, which looks remarkably similar to the Windows XP Start Menu. Once you have Argo installed as well you will be able to just simply install the software right to your USB and pull it up on the Ceedo "Start Menu"

Ceedo is having a promotional offer now selling its software for $40 which includes Argo.

What is needed for an at home music studio? (with brand names)?

Posted: September 23, 2010 – 1:54 pm

I am trying to get my boyfriend an at home recording studio for rapping. Does anyone know what brands are good for hip-hop music for mixers and microphones? We already have a computer, what else is needed for a studio?

There are two ways to go. The right way and the cheap way. This is the right way …
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Digidesign-Pro-Tools-Mbox-2-Factory-Package-773407-i1177447.gc
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Roland-SP555-Creative-Sample-Workstation-104625975-i1370049.gc
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Boss-VE-20-Vocal-Effects-Processor-105654529-i1474806.gc

This is the cheep way … http://www.walmart.com/ip/M-Audio-Pro-Tools-Recording-Studio/14123456?sourceid=1500000000000003142050&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=14123456
http://cgi.ebay.com/Roland-SP-555-Creative-Sampling-Workstation-Sampler-/270630971457?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f02dce841

Pro Tools and BOSS (made by Roland) make the very best state of the art RAP and HIP HOP recording and sequencing tools on the market. There really is no substitute. You need Pro Tools to record with if you want broadcast quality recordings and if you are serious about your sound, then the will eventually require the Roland SP 555. The BOSS VE-20 vocal processor is also a requirement but, on that you can get along without if you are on a budget. Whit this equipment, he will be able to produce broadcast quality music in his home that he could sell on iTune or Amazon.com, CE Baby, Tunecore, or any number of other Internet sites. He could also perform live with it as well but, for that he will also need a good PA system.
