How much does it cost to build a Home recording studio?

I pretty much have all the software to do it.
I have FL Studio 9 XXL, Cool Edit Pro 2.0, and Adobe Audition.
I just need an estimate of how much a good-afordable Mic, Midi Controller, Sound Card. etc..will end up costing me.
Any Advice..

Hey there. What’s your budget? I can recommend something great for minimun price. Don’t forget, in a home studio you’ll need this equipment:

* Microphone
* SoundCard – Interface
* Cables
* Recording Software

Microphone – I would recommend AT2020 ($78) I own one of these great mics, and I’m very pleased with it. If you’re mixing the vocals right, you’ll get quality sounds.

You will need some cables, but this sound card support phantom power, so there is no need for a preamp.
