As well as yes …
As well as yes agreed about Sibilance. But it’s very easy to get reed of with the Diesser… or EQ-r. I won’t agree that pop filter saves you from over powering vocal for example. It’s more a gain or a distance issue, I’d say more gain structure issue. It’s more needed for protection from pops from consonant letters such as P, F and other ones that create movement of the air when pronounced.

If you are going to …
If you are going to use a quality microphone, your viewers should annunciate with quality as well: It’s “cardioid” (car-di-oid) three syllables, not “cardiod” (car-doid). Common mistake.
Voice culture folks will take you more seriously.
“Car”di*oid (?), n. [Gr. kardio-eidh`s heart-shaped; kardi`a heart + e'i^dos shape.] (Math.) An algebraic curve, so called from its resemblance to a heart.
- Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary (1913)
There is no entry for Cardiod.
