Where to find loops in Sony ACID Music Studio?

Posted: March 10, 2010 – 4:30 am

I just got Sony ACID music studio, and it says on the Sony Creative Software website that ACID includes over 1,000 free loops to get me started, but I can’t find them in it. Do I have to download the loops or are they somewhere in the program?

They are often on a second cd, but if they are not go to

http://free-loops.com
or
http://free-loops.com/free-loops.php

and download some of the 6,000 free sounds and loops they have there.

Download those then use your Acid Navigation pane, usually at the bottom to navigate and preview the sounds. Then import the ones you want to use.

I have a music studio and i have user name in log in to the system how do i deny access in printing and copy?

Posted: March 7, 2010 – 7:21 am

I have a music studio and i have user names in log in to the system how do i deny access on a particular profile in printing and copy music.pls i need explanation on how to go about it.

If it is even possible to deny access to certain features in the program you should be able to pull up a user profiles type of screen. This should reveal the ability to deny access to printing and copying.

If not, then it probably is not possible to do what you want to do.

Take care.

How much does it cost to record about 9 songs in a music studio?

Posted: March 4, 2010 – 5:09 am

Well im a pop singer and I would like to now how much it would cost to record 9 songs in a music studio? If anyone can help me anyway in my singing career contact me at my e-mail derekfvleao@yahoo.com

Different studios charge different amounts. The most important part is how long it is going to take.

It could range from hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars depending on where you go and how long it will take. If you want something high quality. I have a friend who is a pro, but is at the mercy of being in a smaller market and he would probably estimate about $200/song for an album quality track with a band who has their act together, but he has the luxury of having cheap overhead too so it will quite possibly be more.

how can i get work experience in a music studio?

Posted: March 1, 2010 – 3:05 am

i wanna work in a music studio coz i wanna become a music composer and i wanna get the feel of the job.

Well the best way is to attend a School of Sound Engineer aka studio equipment or you can purchase music software such as cakewalk studio or Logic or Reason or check out this site www. modernbeats.com and if your from Florida there is a school that is made for music composers like me and you and if your interested in a sound engineer position they make good money and you can work for artist like your favorites such as Justin Timberlake

Well Good Luck

How would i make a simple but effective home music studio?

Posted: February 19, 2010 – 11:18 pm

ive been writing songs and i wanna get to making them but
1. i dont know wat to buy to record it
2. i dont know how to record ne thing. like make the insrumental and then record, put the lyrics in, and have them in sync to be like an actual song

its all confusing to me. but it all comes to the main question to
how to i make a simple and cheap home music recording studio

This is a great time to begin a project like this. With just a computer and a few pieces of gear you can make a great sounding home recording.

What you’ll need:
- A computer
- Audio Interface
- Basic Recording Software
- Large Diaphragm Condenser Mic

Assuming you already have a home computer, I’d recommend starting with a PreSonus Audio Interface such as this one:
http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/PreSonus-INSPIRE-1394-FireWire-Audio-Interface?sku=241483

This gives you everything you need to get started with your recording including:
- phantom power supply (powers the condenser mic)
- microphone preamps (boosts the weak mic level signal)
- analog / digital converters (converts electrical mic signal to a digital form that computers can understand)
- basic recording software (for recording your tracks on the computer)

Moving on I’d go with a large diaphragm condenser mic for recording your guitar and vocals.

If your guitar has pickups, another inexpensive option is to use a Direct Box (also called a DI Box) and plug it directly into your Audio Interface.

This setup should get you started… as far as mixing and editing, you’ll likely need to upgrade to more powerful software suite such as Cakewalk Sonar, Pro Tools, or Studio Logic.

You definitely don’t need this to get started and you might be surprised how ‘final’ your raw recording sounds.
