What would i need to make a recording studio with my pc?

I would like to know the basic essential things needed to have a small in home recording studio using my laptop. Nothing real expensive or advanced, jus enough to record a good quality song. I know i will need a mic, some type of recording software and etc…..

You will need a pro audio soundcard something like a sapphire 6 would be a good choice onboard sound will give you lag. a daw (software) I would recommend ableton live as it’s easy to use. A decent mic haven’t bought one for a while so ask at a music shop, I’ve heard good things about rode m3s but there might be something better out now.

That’s about all you need you might want to get a midi keyboard as you can use your daw like a instrument (very handy) it’s better than scoring on a computer. Daws come with effects etc too

How could I set up a basic home recording studio?

I want to set up a small recording studio in my bedroom. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on it, but i want to be able to record decent stuff. What basic equipment would I need and could you give me any recommendations?

Not sure what your budget is but the cheapest set up needs a USB mic, recording software, & headphones. All of it can be done for around $150.

How can i make a mini recording studio in my house for cheep?

My daughter is VERY into music and singing and i thought for christmas i could get her a little recording studio. She has a macbook so maybe something that ties into that. What software and equipment should i buy? please put a link. Also not too expensive.

No ideas with the equipment yet but I can recommend you a good music software.
