None of this stuff makes me play guitar any better, but it sure is fun to see the blinking lights.

Sooperlooper is a real-time live looping application that allows for keybindings or MIDI controls, or the gui. I had to get creative with my big toe, but will probably hack together a homemade USB foot controller soon.

Home recording’s kinda fun, and I’m looking forward to posting a fresh vid soon with studio effects and higher quality audio.

Make sure you have …
Make sure you have your Input and Output set correctly in Audacity. View , Toolbars , Devices and use the pulldowns to see your hardware, and then experiment ’til you get it. I’m finding I don’t even need Jack running. Mic to mixer into laptop via USB and recording directly into Audacity. You can do it.

Hold On, wait a …
Hold On, wait a minuite, I said ‘a High End Soundcard like in this video’, I realize you are not using a high end sound card, well take my advice. If you want high quality recordings, you should get a dedicated sound card just for recording.
Also if you haven’t already, upgrade your Windows XP Home Edition machine to Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000 Professional. That will convert your home studio into a Pro studio!
Naw, I was just kidding on the Windows XP Part lol.

CONTINUED: using …
CONTINUED: using the name ‘home studio’ because it only makes my studio sound ‘unprofessional’ instead of the stuff it can do. Sometimes a small room with a high end computer with the highest end equipment is a ‘professional studio’ weather its at home, in an office or in a terrible environment, like a bedroom. I strongly believe though that if you can find a good environment with no disturbances, then you will get professional results.

I strongly believe …
I strongly believe thers no such thing as ‘home’ recording or ‘professional’ recording. Unless you are using a basic computer soundcard to record yourself playing a guitar and using a home studio software like Acid Music Studio 9 to mix your recordings on the computer, all studio quality equipment like a Mixer, a Pre Amp and a High End Soundcard like in this video is Professional Grade, even though its at a home. I mean heck. My studio right now is in a home, but I don’t like

This isn’t bull, this is what you use if you want quality. A good mic, through a mixer, into your computer.
If you want a pedal connected to a USB cord, they have that stuff, too. Do some more homework and don’t be so of.

try out …
try out propellerheads new record software. it’s in beta right now. go to there website and try it out. You will of course still need mics, and a sound card that will allow you to input the stuff to your computer. If you want to go free though, audacity is not a bad product to help get your feet wet in recording and mixing

4.get urself a …
4.get urself a royer ribbon microphone if want to do justice to ur guitar amp…and use it along side sm57….
5.u’ve got too much stuff lying there which distracts you…try gettin rid of it.
if you have a trackin interface….use it as a D.I,alongside a signal frm ur amp and then pan them to opposite sides and you have a killer distortion at ur hands.
take care and make pristine music…
