How do I make a recording on a Roland RD700 sx ? As in, equipment needed?

Any advice would be great. There is no built in recording equipment, so what are my options. Thanks

There’s several different ways to do it, but an interface and software package is best and easiest, this way your not screwing around trying to get the free download stuff to work and configuring your computer to accept recording through the mic input, the interface plugs into a USB port and the software takes care of the rest, almost idiot proof. plus the sound quality and features will be much better, here’s a good one that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

  1. Pepijn Says:

a computer with a sound card or such a recorder thingy with 2 jack inputs (2 mono inputs in 1 stereo channel, not 2 mic inputs). connect the outputs of the synthesizer with the inputs of the sound card or recorder with Jack cables. (those cables who normally go to speakers or monitors)
then, with a computer, select the sound card as a sound input device and record the stuff with some kind of audio editor.
