I’m in a two person band we just started and we’ve just been recording with a mp3 player.
Me and my friend were in the same boat. I used m-audio session, its like 40-50 bucks but it works really good. the sound quality is amazing for what it is and i can put the songs onto my ipod. it comes with an interface so you can only record one instrument at a time. I know garage band is really good too, if you have a mac book that works better.
