    @THEREALtrappajohn I can’t really recommend using anything from Radio Shack in pro audio setups. These show no tolerance for their frequency range (80Hz – 20 kHz), so it could be +/- 20 dB for all we know. Also, you’ll be missing a ton of low end without a sub. And you’ll have to provide your own amplifier, it appears. Definitely can’t recommend them. But maybe someone else out there reading this has thoughts too…

    THIS MIGHT BE A DUMB QUESTION, BUT DO YOU THINK THAT THE KLH B-PRO6 BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS WOULD SUFFICE AS BEING HOME STUDIO MONITORS? THEY ARE ON SALE AT RADIOSHACK. YOUR OPINION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

    I’m kind of tight on space. Is there some way to improve the sound by making some adjustments to the furniture. I thought about lining the cabinet with acoustic foam, but i’m not sure what that would do?

    @zmelkoow Great …
    @zmelkoow Great question. Yeah, it’s not ideal. I’ve since moved them to another position in the studio.

    Great tips, however i’ve got a placement related question. Main monitors you got behind you are placed in a type of “open closet”. My desk has a similar style. It’s not an open space but almost exactly like yours, confined inwards. Is this good or bad? To me it seems that the further you place the speakers inside the more base you hear. Is it acceptable to have the speakers so confined or are they better out in the open? Thanks
